Cycles

"The day Worthing sea-front was invaded by infinite teddy-bears."

Cyriak Harris from the UK is well known for his surreal trademark style. His short film Cycles presents a sea-side coast with seemingly common urban elements that is soon transformed into a sequence that plays with unexpected events, out-of-context elements, variations in scale, metamorphosis of objects, and more, while using some codes from video games.

The music underlines the motive of repetition with variations. All the animation work was created with Adobe After Effects.

Watching Cyriak’s work is an experience every filmmaker should probably go through.
