"A young Inca king and an irresponsible guard are about to face an unexpected danger."
Two characters and an external conflict turn into a chase sequence when a third character enters the scene. Mostly static cameras are used in the initial sequences, with visual rhythm provided by the characters and editing. After the plot point moving cameras are used, combined with faster-paced music.
There’s an emphasis in capturing the great expressions of the characters, so the wide shots used to cover the action are combined with many close-ups. Also worth mentioning are the number of shots with the camera tracking the guard character running, the great character designs and animation (the film was made at Gobelins), and the amount of work dedicated to the locations and textures.
