"A short trip in a different world reveals a society that lives in a continuous paradox."

Spin is a short film written and directed by three artists at the Bezalel Academy of Art & Design in Jerusalem. It presents a series of creative vignettes using a baby character as a narrative device for weaving the story.

The spinning nature of the objects and the changing frame of reference that the camera adopts provides a visual rhythm that is completely alien to daily experience. It’s interesting to see how this visual rhythm changes through the film due to camera movements and varying shot sizes. Spin features a low-poly aesthetic, surreal elements, non-realistic aerial staging mixed with urban elements, and critical social commentary.
