"Some people desperately need to be kings."
Another great short coming from Parisian school Gobelins. Two characters and their evolving relationship generate one of the main conflicts of this film, which also presents a conflict with the environment (nature). The short makes great use of ellipsis with fades to show passage of time and close-ups to help portray characters’ emotions. Character design and animation are outstanding, they really manage to transmit characters’ personalities (especially the king’s delusions of grandeur).
