Staged in the fields and populated by images and sounds from a farm, Sheeped Away was made by Dutch artist Junaid Chundrigar as his thesis project for the Utrecht School of the Arts. In the author’s own words, he wanted to make a tribute to the old American cartoons he grew up with. An animation for both adults and kids.
Sheeped Away features SciFi themes in a rural environment, a mostly dark color palette, effective use of off-screen space and a seemingly common external conflict that turns into an unearthly one with a number of fun chase sequences.
