"A fun study on shopping and modern consumer behavior."
Three main characters, playful staging, fluid animation and a critical view of shopping and consumerism compose this great short by Polish artist Robert Proch, who made it as his graduation film at the University of Fine Arts in Poznań.
Galeria uses repetition of elements, iconography related to shopping and characters without faces, along with a greatly stylized aesthetic. The author frequently plays with expectations, introducing elements of surprise and humor, and employs creative and fluid transitions between scenes.
No strong conflict is present, the film adopts a descriptive POV showing the progression of a day at a shopping mall, and studying the situations that take place.
