Another brief but great short coming from Supinfocom Arles. Pinnipeds relies on slapstick physical humor, timing and use of misunderstandings to construct comedy.
Staged on a beach, the short presents an external conflict that triggers a second external conflict. A photorealistic aesthetic is used that mixes 3D elements with live footage, great attention was dedicated to creating the characters and their animation. The highly creative humor, interaction between the characters and sudden changes of pace augmented through sound turn it into a very amusing short.
