Natural Attraction

An interesting example of an environment used for expressive purposes can be found in this short by German artist Marc Zimmermann. Natural Attraction shows “a natural spectacle turning a sparse and dry landscape into a fruitful place bearing new life”. The film uses matte painting and FX simulations to build its remarkable aesthetic, and was produced during the director’s studies at the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg.
