Omerta

"Teddy Toad and his gang battle the rhinos in 1930s New York."

Omerta is a wonderful short film created at Supinfocom Arles that is staged in New York of the 1930s and features great visuals punctuated by jazzy music. Musicals are scarce in 3D animation, and this film is a great exception. This was in fact the first musical ever produced at Supinfocom.

Populated by colorful crowds of characters the conflict is channeled mainly through two characters, the rhino leader and the toad leader, who compete for the love of the lady rhino. The film offers plenty of fun energetic sequences, shifts in subjectivity, references to classic musicals and gangster films, slapstick humor and great combination of 2D and 3D animation.
