The Guilt

"A single idea circles endlessly within Leo's head: revenge."

The Guilt is a short film written and directed by David Victori about a man who seeks revenge only to end up trapped by his guilt. Four characters, a study of one of the strongest internal conflicts (guilt) and a use of editing for playing with time and space compose this short that rises above the common thriller thanks to its filmmaking techniques.

The Guilt also places good emphasis on camera work to reflect the main character’s emotional state, with plenty of close-ups, slanted camera angles, POV shots, and heightened visual rhythm.
